My Acer 4520 and Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04

Between Windows and Open Source, which you want to use as your operation system?? For simple and user friendly of course we use WINDOWS e.g. just only for writing, gaming, or multimedia.. but if you really want learn how the OS work e.g IT specialist, or you want to maintenance your server to free from virus, you must choose Open Source in this case i mean Linux, especially I prefer Ubuntu as distro most favourite..

Here we go.. i will teach you how to install Ubuntu Hardy Heron in Acer 4520 :

before that i want to inform you what is my spec laptop :

1) First
we need to download the ubuntu hardy heron in shipit in www.ubuntu.com
then burn it with your favorite burning cd software, choose burn image..

After that boot your laptop from cd ubuntu.. choose in your boot priority in bios
then you will face this windows
Choose your prefer language to install.. if you familiar with english, this is best translate


2) To check your cd if there some file miss, choose "check CD for defects". but if you sure have correctly the cd complete, choose INSTALL U

3) View the progress bar ubuntu











































































































That all the only i knew about how to install ubuntu in my laptop..
